Plan 9 From Outer Space

I think I can safely say that Plan 9 From Outer Space is the original “so bad it’s good” movie.

For 40 to 50 years, Plan 9 From Outer Space was considered the worst movie ever made. It wasn’t until Mystery Science Theater 3000 featured it on their show that Ed Wood’s dumpster fire of a film earned its cult following.

Plan 9 was made on a zero-budget and lost its biggest star during filming. Wood had to overcome much diversity to get this film made and you can tell he put his all into it. Ed Wood’s unrelenting desire to finish his film and the overall terrible quality of the finished product make Plan 9 From Outer Space one of the most fun movies to watch with friends.
