I think I can safely say that Plan 9 From Outer Space is the original “so bad it’s good” movie. For 40 to 50 years, Plan 9 From Outer Space was considered the worst movie ever made. It wasn’t until Mystery Science Theater 3000 featured it on their show that Ed Wood’s dumpster fire of a film earned its cult following.
